W Capital invests its own family capital.

It is invested on an endowment basis, against a long-term absolute return objective, across the capital structure and without an asset allocation mandate. Liquidity is matched to the asset, not engineered around it.

Capital is committed directly into private companies and increasingly with specialist managers, particularly offshore. Managers are underwritten the way a private company is: the people, whether their advantage is actually durable and how they behave through a cycle.

W Capital is led by Greg Wang.

Greg has been a private equity investor since 2008, including at a firm he co-founded. Prior to that, he worked in corporate restructuring and M&A investment banking.

He has deployed over $300 million directly into private companies and served on six of their boards, from growth through to exit.

He has sat on the investment committee of an ASX-listed investment house. He also runs the private markets and alternatives sleeve for a Sydney single-family office.

Greg is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MBA from the AGSM and served on the UNSW Business School alumni advisory board.

W Capital takes investment committee, board and advisory roles with families, private companies and their owners.
